Energy protection isn’t about building walls. It’s about having a strong energetic centre so that you don’t get lost in everyone else’s “stuff.”

But your energy is anchored. Boundaried. Clear.  It’s like having a semi-permeable membrane around you, like an egg – so you can shine out without absorbing any negativity.

It’s a way of saying:

I see you. I care. But I’m not here to carry what isn’t mine.

And that shift? It changes everything.

Signs You Might Need Energy Protection

You may not even realise you’re wide open until symptoms appear, like:

  • You feel drained after social interaction
  • You replay conversations long after they’ve ended
  • You struggle to sleep after watching TV or scrolling
  • You feel “invaded” by someone’s presence, even silently
  • You have sudden mood swings that don’t feel like yours

Gentle Energy Protection Tools

These are a few of the practices I share in the Zenpath journeys—simple, effective and easy to weave into everyday life.

1. Ground Yourself First

Before protecting your energy, you need to be in your energy.

  • Stand or sit with both feet on the ground.
  • Visualise roots growing from your feet into the earth.
  • Breathe low and slow into your belly.
  • Imagine the earth gently anchoring you.

This reconnects you to your own frequency.

2. Sweep Off the Day

A simple way to release what’s not yours.

  • Stand and brush your arms, shoulders, chest, and legs with your hands.
  • Say (out loud if you can): “I release any energy that doesn’t belong to me.”
  • Imagine light pouring over you like a waterfall, rinsing you clean.

Try this after work, before bed, or anytime you feel “frazzled.”

3. Seal Your Field with Breath

  • Inhale slowly.
  • As you exhale, imagine a gentle golden light expanding around you like a soft cocoon.
  • This is not a wall—it’s a natural filter.
  • You can still connect with others, but their energy doesn’t stick.

Let this light hold you—not trap you.

4. Protective Affirmations

Words carry power. Use them with intention.
Try saying:

“I choose what I take in.”
“I protect my energy with love and ease.”
“I am grounded, clear and sovereign.”You don’t have to say them perfectly. Just say them like you mean them.

5. Create an Energetic Buffer Zone

If you’re in a crowded place:

  • Imagine you’re walking up some steps and ‘rising above it’ as my mother would say.
  • Picture yourself surrounded by a soft bubble of light.
  • Choose the colour intuitively—whatever feels safe to you.
  • Let it breathe with you. Flexible. Protective. Yours.

No one needs to know you’re doing it—but it makes a difference.

What About Other People’s Energy?

You’re not here to rescue everyone.
You’re here to stay true to yourself and to share your gifts from a place of wholeness.

When your energy is protected, you can offer love without leaking yourself.
You can hold space without losing your peace.
You can show up—without being taken over.

That’s the power of energetic clarity.

Being sensitive isn’t a problem.
But being unprotected? That’s where burnout begins.

The more you care for your energy body, the more ease you’ll feel in your physical body.
The more you stay connected to your own frequency, the more your intuition sharpens.

Energy protection is not about fear.
It’s about sovereignty.
It’s how we honour ourselves and the people we care for – without losing ourselves in the process.
